Meet. Dr. Shailesh Shrivastava is a renowned clinical physiotherapist who uses a variety of therapies and techniques in rehabilitation and treatment of patients affected by physical problems due to illness, disability, ageing or impairment. He has attained a distinct place in the field of Para Medical Sciences based on his accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. At present, he is the Head of the Department of Physiotherapy at Sahaj Aarogyam and is devoted to improving the lives of patients suffering from chronic physical ailments. Mr. Shrivastava’s penchant for Alternative Medicine encouraged him to pursue a career in physiotherapy. He passed BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) from Ayushman Medical College, Bhopal in 2011. During the 4.5 years course, he studied the fundamentals of Rehabilitative Medicine, Electrotherapy Radiology and Imaging Technology, Exercise Therapy, Orthopedics & Traumatology and General Medicine.
After completing the course, Dr. Shrivastava started his professional journey in 2011 as the HOD (Head of the Department) Physiotherapy in Arpan Hospital and Research Center, Rajwada, Indore. He worked there till 2016 during which he performed extensive patient evaluation and functional analysis and accurately documented patient treatment and progress. Later in 2016, he joined Shalby Multispeciality Hospital, Indore, as a consultant Physiotherapist and was responsible for assessing physical conditions of patients to diagnose problems and managing patients with orthopaedic, neurological, paediatrics, gynaecological, respiratory, and surgical conditions. In 2017, he joined Orange Physio Care Super Speciality clinic as a senior Physiotherapist and developed complete rehabilitation programs and exercise programs involving strengthening, stretching, breathing and relaxation techniques that ensured recovery in the shortest possible time. Furthering his interest in the field of physiotherapy, Dr. Shrivastava joined M.P.T.(Master of Physiotherapy) program in Bhagwant University, Ajmer, in 2018. He specialised in the field of neuroscience and his project work was on tabes dorsalis (locomotor ataxia). He passed the course in 2020 with flying colours and was declared a Gold Medalist. As a MPT (Neuro), he treated a number of neurological patients suffering from hemiplegia, paraplegia, quadriplegia, monoplegia, etc. He also treated head injury and spinal cord injury patients. Achievements Dr. Shrivastava is a fitness enthusiast and believes in the importance of fitness in the current times. He is a trained Aerobics Instructor and ensures his patients benefit from his knowledge and experience through appropriate exercises.
